Bishkek, Feb.19, 2020. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Board of the National Energy Holding Aitmamat Nazarov took part in the annual international congress and “Hydropower. Central Asia and Caspian 2020” exhibition and delivered welcoming speech.
In the course of his speech, Nazarov expressed his gratitude to the organizers, and noted that holding such a large-scale event in the country would serve as an impetus to raise the level of energy development in the region.
"In today's world, the role of the energy industry is steadily increasing. Especially in the 21st century, industrial production is growing at a faster pace, there is a digitalization, mobile communications and the Internet are developing. All this cannot be achieved without electricity. This issue in the energy sector has a special role to play in every country and around the world," Aitmamat Nazarov said, adding that hydropower is a strategic industry in Kyrgyzstan, which is the basis of the country's economy and export potential.
"The main factor for ensuring the energy security of the Kyrgyz Republic is the stable operation of the energy system, which depends on the efficiency of work performed. The country is actively engaged in a comprehensive work to implement a number of projects for the reconstruction and modernization of energy facilities in the country, as well as to attract investment in the construction of large hydroelectric power plants," said the head of the National Energy Holding.
According to him, it is impossible to solve practical tasks that allow to implement the most large-scale and ambitious projects with maximum efficiency without an expert dialogue, which allows to combine accumulated knowledge, experience and capabilities.
Aitmamat Nazarov expressed hope the Forum would be held in a constructive and business environment, and its solutions would find practical implementation.
The 4th International Congress and "Hydropower. Central Asia and Caspian 2020" Exhibition was held today in Bishkek.
It served as a professional platform for dialogue, exchange of experience, search for solutions and consolidation of efforts of government and business representatives for effective implementation of a number of projects for construction and modernization, reconstruction of hydroelectric power plants in the region (Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Armenia, Georgia and Russia).
The event was held with the support and participation of high delegations from the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, National Energy Holding of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Electric Power Plants.
As part of the business program of the Congress, delegations presented plans for the development of hydropower industry of Kyrgyzstan and specific investment projects.
