Bishkek, March 24, 2022 / Kabar /. On March 24, 2022, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Italian Republic mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said that blateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Italy are characterized by stability and positive dynamics.
Today, Kyrgyzstan and Italy are reliable partners in a wide range of bilateral relations. Over the years of cooperation between the countries, regular political contacts have been established at the level of heads of foreign affairs departments, inter-parliamentary relations have been established, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation is developing, and a stable dialogue has developed within the framework of the European Union, the UN and the OSCE. Effective cooperation is being carried out within the framework of the Central Asia + Italy platform.
The key moment was the opening of the diplomatic mission of the Kyrgyz Republic in Rome. With the opening of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Italy in August 2020, bilateral relations between the countries have noticeably intensified.
Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates friendly relations with Italy and is ready for further joint work based on the mutual desire to respect and strengthen democratic values.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Luigi Di Maio exchanged congratulatory messages.
The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening constructive cooperation in all areas of interaction.
