Bishkek, Dec. 13, 2024. / Kabar /. The Forensic Science Service of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Justice of Japan discussed joint initiatives, the press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
The Japanese delegation headed by Director General of the International Cooperation Department of the Research and Educational Institute of the Ministry of Justice of Japan Ryota Takemoto visited the Forensic Science Service. The meeting was held as part of the implementation of the memorandum of cooperation between the ministries of justice of the two countries, signed during the state visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Japan last year.
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the field of forensic science. Particular attention was paid to the exchange of experience, the introduction of modern technologies and the training of qualified specialists.
The chairman of the Forensic Science Service Talantbek Kozhonov noted that the development of international cooperation is one of the key areas of the Service's work.
"We are interested in establishing close relations with Japanese forensic organizations in all areas of activity, including the fight against transnational crime, environmental and intellectual property offenses, as well as the investigation of man-made accidents that threaten national security," he emphasized.
In turn, Ryota Takemoto said that in the near future, joint research and projects are planned in a number of areas within the framework of the signed memorandum of cooperation.
The Japanese delegation was also shown the work of the Forensic Service.
