Bishkek, Aug. 10, 2023. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Agreement concerning the Adoption of Uniform Technical Prescriptions for Wheeled Vehicles, Equipment and Parts which can be Fitted and/or be Used on Wheeled Vehicles and the Conditions for Reciprocal Recognition of Approvals Granted on the Basis of these Prescriptions issued on the basis of these UN Regulations, made in the city of Geneva on March 20, 1958.”
The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on June 29, 2023.
The agreement provides a legal opportunity for member countries to obtain a Vehicle Type Approval based on factory tests. Domestic manufacturers can obtain Vehicle Type Approval by submitting factory test reports and declarations to them to the certification body and testing laboratories. When Kyrgyzstan joins this Agreement, the procedure for obtaining Vehicle Type Approval will become cheaper and faster.
The law enters into force ten days after its official publication.
