Kyrgyzstan joins COVID-19 Free Travel digital platform

Bishkek, March 9, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan has joined the COVID-19 Free Travel digital platform, Head of the Public Health Department of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan Ainura Akmatova told at briefing.

She said that the republic has joined this platform in order to reduce the spread of coronavirus infection during the cross-border movement of citizens within the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union).

“This platform not only reduces the spread of coronavirus infection, but also provides reliable control at the international level. Today, two accredited state laboratories of Kyrgyzstan in Osh and Bishkek are connected to this platform,” she said.

She noted that a citizen, intending to go on a trip and take a PCR test, downloads a special mobile application COVID-19 Free Travel, where the nearest laboratory is pointed out. The patient also receives the results of the PCR test in electronic form on his smartphone, if desired.
