Kyrgyzstan joins #SafeHands Challenge launched by WHO

Bishkek, March 31, 2020 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has joined the #SafeHands challenge, the press service of the capital's Mayor’s Office reported.

United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan Ozonnia Ojielo was the first to support such a campaign in the republic, and together with him citizens. Honoured artists, famous pop singers, actors, opera singers, TV presenters are also putting up video challenges.

"The team of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office is passing the baton to you! Wash your hands well and put out videos in social networks with #thesafehandschallenge. Let's fill the news feed with clean hands!” the report says.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has launched the #SafeHands Challenge to engage others to spread the word on measures to take to promote health and show community solidarity.

WHO Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Gebrejesus was the first to take part in the campaign.
