Bishkek, July 12, 2019. /Kabar/.At the extended-format talks with Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev told about the agreements, reached on liberalization of the permit regime for Kyrgyz freight carriers, going to third countries in transit through Kazakhstan.
Summing up the results of the narrow-format talks, Abylgaziev noted that there is great understanding on the topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
“The main topic of our talks was issues in trade and economic, transport, investment and other spheres. In particular, agreements have been reached to liberalize the permit regime for our freight carriers, going to third countries in transit through Kazakhstan,” he said.
The Kyrgyz prime noted that agreements had been reached on the crossing of trucks and goods through the Karkyra-Avtodorozhny checkpoint.
“Next year we will also open the Kichi-Kapka checkpoint in Talas Oblast,” he added.
Abylgaziev said that infrastructure projects, such as the construction of Cholpon-Ata-Almaty highway,have also been discussed.
“We also discussed the building of reservoir on the Aspara River and Chui Canal- 2. In general, there are big plans for the coming year,” he summed up.
