Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan debate free passage of cargo carriers at state border

Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2020. /Kabar/. First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliyev received on Monday Kazakh Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Nurpeisov.

According to the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry’s press service, during the meeting the sides considered the current level and prospects of Kyrgyz-Kazakh bilateral cooperation in all spheres, in particular, discussed the implementation of agreements reached during the working visit of Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev to Kazakhstan on Oct. 28-30 this year.

The special attention was paid to the issues of free passage of cargo carriers across the Kyrgyz-Kazak state border.

Niyazaliyev appealed to the Kazakh side with a request to take appropriate measures to settle issues at the state border, related to the need to pass the analysis for drivers engaged in bilateral and transit road transport and provide a certificate with the result of COVID-19 test.

Noting the importance of creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurs/agricultural producers and consumers in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, the sides came to the understanding of the need to remove the existing barriers in this area, taking into account compliance with sanitary and epidemiological norms aimed at combating coronavirus infection in countries and the region.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy FM Niyazaliyev and Ambassador Nurpeisov agreed to continue mutually beneficial cooperation in the spirit of friendship and good neighborliness, alliance and strategic partnership.
