Bishkek, July 3, 2019. /Kabar/. A bilateral meeting of Chairman of the State Service for Execution of Punishments (SSPE) of Kyrgyzstan Melis Turganbayev and Chairman of the Committee of Criminal Executive System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan Darkhan Kanatbekov took place in Nur-Sultan on July 3, the press service of the SSPE reported.
The sides discussed the plan for further cooperation and signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Service for Execution of Punishments and the Committee of Criminal Executive System.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to express the intention to develop and strengthen cooperation between the Sides in the field of penal systems of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
The 4th meeting of the Council of the Heads of Penitentiary Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states took place in Nur-Sultan on July 3, 2019 with the participation of delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
