The Service for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan together with the intelligence service of Kazakhstan eliminated the network of stable channels for the transportation and sale of synthetic drugs in Central Asia through the Internet.
The Interior Ministry reported that the joint special operation to eliminate the activities of a transnational drug group was being conducted for six months in the territory of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
"From November 2021 to April 2022, law enforcement officers were conducting joint international operations on the territory of the republic, aimed at eliminating stable drug groups involved in the production, smuggling and sale of large consignments of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. Four citizens of Kazakhstan and three citizens of Kyrgyzstan were identified and detained," the report said.
In the course of joint international operations, two drug laboratories for the production of synthetic drugs were established and dismantled.
31 kg 265 grams of drugs were seized from the illegal trafficking, accomplices and organizers of the drug channel were detained.
The approximate profit from the sale of drugs makes KGS 155 million 545 thousand, which amounts to more than USD 1 million 808 thousand 662.
