Kyrgyzstan, Korea discuss cooperation in digitalization and e-government

Bishkek, Nov. 25, 2019. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Dinara Kemelova met with Director General of the Bureau of Electronic Government of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Korea Choi Young Yuk.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting, the sides discussed ways to intensify bilateral cooperation in the field of digitalization of the country and e-government.

Ambassador Kemelova spoke about the initiatives and activities of the Kyrgyz government in digitalizing the country and voiced the proposals of Kyrgyzstan to establish an IT Academy, train IT specialists, and assist the Korean side in building the capacity of Kyrgyzstan in digitalizing public services, cybersecurity and other areas.

The sides discussed the possibility of sending a Korean delegation of e-government experts to Kyrgyzstan in 2020 to study the needs of Kyrgyzstan and to train Kyrgyz specialists in the Republic of Korea annually.
