Kuwait, Feb. 21, 2019. / Kabar /. An agreement on cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Information and Youth Affairs of Kuwait.
The document was signed during the bilateral meeting of Kyrgyz Culture Minister Azamat Zhamankulov and Minister of Information and Youth Affairs of Kuwait Mohammed Al-Jabri.
During the meeting, the sides discussed further cooperation in supporting each other in the media coverage of the two countries.
Azamat Zhamankulov told reporters about the outcome of the negotiations, stressing that the Ministry of Information of Kuwait accepted an official invitation to visit Kyrgyzstan.
“We have signed a bilateral agreement in two areas: information and tourism. In particular, to exchange experiences among the media and to demonstrate the tourism potential of the two countries. We agreed that since April, representatives of the national television of Kuwait will visit Kyrgyzstan. They will shoot short films, programs and plots that will be broadcasted on their local TV channels,” Zhamankulov explained.
Minister Zhamankulov also noted that during the meeting an agreement was reached on cooperation in history, archeology, in order to work together on cultural values.
“For example, we have Shah Vazil. For the Arab world it is a very significant object. And if restoration or support is needed to present it to a new level, then we can hope for Kuwait’s help. The delegation of Kuwait will see all the sights in April,” he explained.
In addition, he said that Kuwait is interested in projects on the Silk Road.
“They are ready to support projects in this direction. We offered them different festivals, for example, the Nomad Games,” he concluded.
