Bishkek, Feb.3, 2020. /Kabar/. First Ysyk Nan (Warm Bread) Kyrgyz language podcast about Pamir Kyrgyz has been launched in the country, author and radio journalist of the Birinchi Radio (First Radio) Saltanat Kaldybaeva said.
She said the audio podcast is dedicated to the topic of adaptation of ethnic Kyrgyz who for several centuries lived on snowy ridges of the Pamirs (Afghanistan), and now by the will of fate have found a new homeland - on the slopes of Tien Shan mountains in Naryn.
This audio file tells the listeners about the development of Pamir Kyrgyz’s life in the new land.
"Birinchi Radio, in cooperation with Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan, sent its correspondent to Naryn Oblast and prepared several episodes of podcast to prepare materials in Kyrgyz language. These include story telling about their adaptation, employment and life.
About three years ago, 10 ethnic Kyrgyz families from Afghanistan were resettled in Naryn Oblast.
They lived at an altitude of 4,500 metres above sea level in the cold, alpine deserts of the Great and Little Pamirs and had virtually no access to civilization benefits.
The main purpose of the Pamir people's arrival in the Kyrgyz Republic is to receive education for children.
A podcast is an episodic series of digital audio files that a user can download in order to listen. Alternatively, the word "podcast" may refer to the individual component of such a series or to an individual media file.
Podcasting often uses a subscription model, whereby new episodes automatically download via web syndication to a user's own local computer, mobile application, or portable media player.
