Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2021 / Kabar /. Two innovative cooperation programs worth more than EUR 10 million, funded with the European Union (EU), have been launched in Bishkek within the framework of the First European Union - Central Asia Economic Forum.
The event is attended by Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, Minister of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan Dastan Dogoev and Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Juri Seilenthal.
In particular, a digitalization project (EUR 2 million) implemented by Estonia, Finland and Italy, and a rule of law project (EUR 8.8 million) implemented jointly with the United Nations Office on drugs and crime have been launched.
The European Union includes 27 member states that have combined the advanced achievements, resources and destinies of their peoples. For 60 years, together they managed to create a zone of stability, democracy and sustainable development, while maintaining cultural diversity, personal freedoms and an atmosphere of tolerance. The European Union is unswervingly striving to transmit and share its achievements and values with countries and peoples beyond its borders.
