Bishkek, Oct. 25, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan, a moratorium on inspections of facilities engaged in the production and turnover of food products has been lifted, the press service of the republic’s Health Ministry said Monday.
In order to prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases and mass poisonings, to ensure food safety and epizootic welfare, amendments were made to the resolution of the Kyrgyz Government "On introduction of a temporary ban (moratorium) on conducting inspections of business entities" of Dec. 17, 2018.
According to the amendments, the moratorium on inspection of compliance with the requirements of technical regulations and other legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of food safety at the facilities engaged in the production and circulation (storage, transportation, sale) of food products was lifted.
In connection with the last case of mass food poisoning in Bishkek, specialists of the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance will check public catering points throughout the country.
A mass poisoning with rolls occurred on Oct. 24 in the chain of the Pizza Empire café.
