Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2022 . / Kabar / . On the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Malawi Nancy Tembo signed a Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the text of the Joint Communiqué notes that the parties established diplomatic relations, guided by the principles and purposes of the UN Charter and international law, in particular respect for and strengthening of international peace and security, equality between states, due respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity, independence, international treaties and non-interference in internal affairs of states.
Following the ceremony of signing the Joint Communiqué, the two ministers discussed possible areas of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Malawi at the bilateral level and within international organizations, especially the UN.
In conclusion, the two sides expressed their mutual intention to promote friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
