Bishkek, May 29, 2024. /Kabar/. Head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Muratbek Azymbakiev as part of the participation of the Kyrgyz delegation in the Global Forum of Islamic Economics and Finance in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), held a meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Malaysia, Adnan Zainali.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for Kyrgyz-Malaysian cooperation in the banking sector, as well as updates to the previously signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the National Banks of Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia.
Particular attention was paid to issues of cooperation in the field of Islamic banking, as well as the possibility of opening branches and correspondent accounts of Malaysian banks in Kyrgyzstan.
