Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia to organize events in religious sphere

Bishkek, May 16, 2024. /Kabar/. Director of the State Commission for Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Toigonbay Abdykarov held bilateral negotiations with Minister of Religious Affairs of Malaysia Mohd Naeem Bin Mokhtar.

According to the press service of the State Committee for Religion of the Kyrgyz Republic, the parties discussed issues of religious literacy of society, protection of human rights and freedoms, prohibition of discrimination and cooperation in preventing radicalism.

Toigonbay Abdykarov spoke about the work to improve interaction between the state and religious organizations, and also emphasized the important role of the ongoing state policy in the religious sphere.

In turn, Mohd Naeem Bin Mokhtar proposed joint work on organizing events in the religious sphere and expressed gratitude for the fruitful discussion of cooperation issues.

Following the meeting, the parties thanked each other for the meeting and expressed hope and readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
