Bishkek, June 15, 2020. /Kabar/. The epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan remains tense, Deputy Health Minister of the republic Nurbolot Usenbayev told Monday.
He added 87 people have contracted coronavirus in the past day, and 23 of them are cases with unknown source of infection.
Usenbayev said nobody is currently observing the recommended measures.
"Elementally, people don't wear masks or keep their distance. Public transport goes clogged, some patients infected in recent days say they were travelling by public transport, visited crowded places, as well as market" the deputy minister said.
In addition, he noted that there are also a large number of elderly people on the street.
"The future situation in the country may depend on citizens' attitude towards meeting requirements.
Therefore, we call for compliance with the rules, otherwise tomorrow we may come to restrictions again. We will have to do this," Usenbayev concluded.
Kyrgyzstan added on Monday 87 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total number of infections to 2372.
A total of 1,813 cases of recovery from COVID-19 have been recorded in the country.
