Kyrgyzstan, Norway discuss bilateral cooperation issues

Bishkek, July 1, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, July 1 Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Chingiz Aidarbekov held meeting with Ine Søreide, the Foreign Minister of Norway.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA, during the meeting the two foreign ministers discussed the measures taken by the two governments to protect public health. The importance of cooperation aimed at the result of the fight against further spread of coronavirus infection and its social and economic impact was noted.

Cooperation issues in the field of environmental protection, green economy and renewable energy sources are considered. The schedule of upcoming contacts at high and highest levels was discussed.

The sides reached an agreement on further intensification of the entire complex of bilateral relations, with special emphasis on intensifying trade and economic ties and expanding the legal framework.

Attention was paid to the issues of mutual support for the initiatives of the sides within international organizations.
