Bishkek, April 14, 2022. / Kabar /. The Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan offered Britain to open a visa center in Bishkek, the press service of the ministry said.
A meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Azizbek Madmarov with Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kyrgyzstan Charles Garrett, during which issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere were discussed.
"Madmarov proposed to consider the possibility of opening a British Visa Center in Bishkek in order to create favorable conditions for the registration of British visas for Kyrgyz citizens, including those wishing to go to Great Britain for seasonal work," the report said.
During the meeting, the Kyrgyz side also proposed to increase the quota and consider other areas of cooperation on sending citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic to work in the UK, thus assisting in expanding the list of areas of employment attracted.
In addition, the deputy foreign minister and the ambassador debated drafts of an agreement between the two countries on visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports and an agreement on readmission.
Charles Garrett confirmed the readiness to consider all the issues raised, as well as to provide appropriate assistance.
