Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2021 / Kabar /. On Sept. 24, 2021, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev met in New York with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
The sides discussed further prospects for bilateral cooperation in trade and economy, improvement of the legal framework and regional security. The Kyrgyz side handed over draft bilateral agreements in various directions.
Ruslan Kazakbaev proposed to increase trade turnover using the GSP + status, as well as open joint ventures in the Kyrgyz Republic and create the appropriate infrastructure.
The Kyrgyz side expressed interest in studying the experience of Singapore in the field of reforms in public administration, judicial and law enforcement systems, as well as the creation of industrial parks and digitalization.
The foreign ministers exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan.
