Kyrgyzstan offers Turkey to mutually reduce cost of residence of permits

Bishkek, March 28, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan offered Turkey to mutually reduce the cost of residence permits and simplify travel, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

A meeting was held on last week between Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev and Minister of Interior Affairs of Turkey Suleyman Soylu.

The sides discussed the development and further prospects for cooperation between law enforcement agencies of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.

"Ambassador Omuraliev expressed a request to consider a proposal to mutually reduce tariffs for residence permits in the territories of the parties, as well as crossing borders with only internal passports,” the report said.

The ambassador and the minister also agreed to provide timely information regarding Kyrgyz citizens (accidents, detention, deportation, etc.), tighten control over groups involved in the employment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey in order to comply with Turkish labor laws, assistance of the Turkish side in issuing residence permits to Kyrgyz citizens illegally staying in Turkey for various reasons.
