Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan discuss development of trade and economic relations

Bishkek, June 25, 2020. /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Erik Beishembiyev met on Tuesday with Saleem Mandviwalla, the Vice Chairman of Senate of Pakistan.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, during the meeting the sides discussed issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation, exchange of visits and activation of Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan parliamentary friendship groups, as well as development of trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian relations between the two countries.

The Kyrgyz ambassador emphasized the deep historical roots of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani relations, informed about the trade, economic and investment opportunities of Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) and the EU GSP+ status, as well as about the transit potential of the country as a short way from Pakistan to Central Asia.
