Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan to work together to enhance cooperation between the countries

Bishkek, April 12 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Erik Beishembiev met on Tuesday with Director General of the Department of Western Asia of the Central Asian Republics and of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Saklina Seyeda.

During the meeting, the sides expressed mutual satisfaction with the successful results of the recent visits of Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Zheenbekov and Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Chynybai Tursunbekov to Pakistan, the results of which will undoubtedly contribute to further promotion of Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation.

Ambassador Beishembiyev said that it is the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Islamic Republic of Iran on May 10, 2017. In connection with this event, the Kyrgyz side plans to organize art and photo exhibitions of Kyrgyz authors in the host country.

S. Seyeda, in her turn, expressed her hope that the appointment of Beishembiev as the Ambassador will contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.

"Having discussed the priority directions of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the political sphere, transport, trade and economic, in the framework of international forums and initiatives, as well as issues of consular and legal orientation, the sides reaffirmed their readiness to work together to advance all issues of Kyrgyz-Pakistan cooperation, which are of mutual interest," the ministry's press service reported.
