Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2021 /Kabar/. The 4-day international tourism exhibition "6th Korea International Tourism Show" was opened in Ilsan (South Korea) on Thursday, in which the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea presents Kyrgyzstan, the diplomatic mission said.
Ambassador Dinara Kemelova took part in the opening of the exhibition, within the framework of which the issues of promoting the Smart Tourism concept are discussed, and held talks with the organizers, in particular with the chairman of the organizing committee, Chang Soo Jong, regarding the promotion of the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan in South Korea.
At the opening ceremony, chairman of the organizing committee, Jang Soo Jong, noted that the event is intended to create the basis for digital transformation in the tourism industry amid COVID-19, due to the increase in demand for smart tourism services. He said that such an exhibition of innovative content in the field of tourism is being held for the first time this year.
During this exhibition, the Embassy organized a demonstration of videos about the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan, disseminated booklets about Kyrgyzstan, and also organized a photo exhibition about the beautiful nature and rich culture of the Kyrgyz people.
Also within the framework of the exhibition, the export potential of the Kyrgyz Republic is presented, in particular, Kyrgyz honey, nougat, chocolate and felt products.
The exhibition is attended by 97 local authorities of South Korea, as well as 14 foreign countries, including the Kyrgyz Republic.
