Kyrgyzstan participates in 14th meeting of deputy FMs of Central Asian countries in Tashkent

Bishkek, Nov. 27, 2024. /Kabar/. The 14th regular meeting of deputy foreign ministers of Central Asian countries was held in Tashkent on November 26, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA).

The Foreign Ministry reported that the Kyrgyz delegation headed by First Deputy Foreign Minister Asein Isaev, took part in the meeting.

As part of this event, the deputy ministers of Central Asian countries were received by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.

In their speeches and discussions, the participants of the meeting were unanimous in their opinions on the priority of the foreign policy of the Central Asian states to strengthen regional cooperation. Specific areas of regional cooperation concerning trade and economy, transport and logistics routes, water, energy and climate issues were discussed.

In connection with the report of the head of UNAMA (United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan) RozaOtunbayeva, a separate discussion was held on combining the efforts of Central Asian countries in relation to cooperation with Afghanistan.

Also during the event, graduates of the Academy of Preventive Diplomacy addressed the governments of Central Asian states on issues of the international agenda, including social issues.
