Kyrgyzstan plans to adopt new educational standard

Bishkek, Jan.9, 2025. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan launched a two-day workshop to discuss the State Educational Standard (SES) for preschool and general education.

The goal of the event is to discuss the draft GES and create a unified layout of the subject standard for general education schools as a fundamental document regulating the requirements for the development of subject standards at different levels of school education, the press service of the Education Ministry reported.

The event is attended by Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, Deputy Ministers Nadira Dzhusupbekova, Lira Samykbaeva, management and staff of the Kyrgyz Academy of Education (KAE), members of the working group on the development of the State Education Standards and experts in the field of education.

President of KAE and head of the working group Nazira Dyusheyeva noted that the task of the working group is to develop a document that would be understandable first of all for teachers, so that it would be easier to implement it in practice.

Changes are also being made to the Basic Curriculum, and within two days the layout of the subject standard, as well as the structure of the curriculum, will be finalized.
