Bishkek, Feb. 21, 2022 . / Kabar /. The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan is submitting for public discussion a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On Approval of the Regulation on the Appeal of Invalid (False) Information on the Internet”.
The purpose of the project is to ensure the rights and freedoms of citizens and legal entities and protect them from false (misleading) information, disseminated on the Internet by developing mechanisms establishing the review and suspension of the site or site page in the Internet on the application of citizens and legal entities.
The draft Provisions provide for the suspension of the work of a site or site page containing false (misleading) information upon the application of citizens and legal entities, as well as obligations of Internet service providers, which include telecommunications operators and mobile operators.
Internet service providers have the obligation to suspend the sites and pages of sites within the prescribed period of time.
If an owner of the site or site page voluntarily removes false (misleading) information, the work of the site or site page shall be resumed.
