Bishkek, Aug. 4, 2020 /Kabar/. The Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic with the financial support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (German Agency for International Cooperation) is planning to create a 3D panoramic tourist map of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the JICA press service, this map will promote the sights of the country among foreign and local tourists, help to get the necessary information in advance through viewing high-quality photos with 360-degree resolution.
Author and initiator of the "3D Kyrgyzstan" project is an expert on tourism Maksat Konushaliyev.
"3D photos will be placed in Google maps, on the sites of ministries and departments of the Kyrgyz Republic related to tourism, as well as on the country's tourism website: www.discoverkyrgyzstan.org,” the report says.
The project will cover sights, historical and cultural heritage sites of Osh, Dzhalal-Abad, Issyk-Kul, Chui Oblasts and Bishkek city.
The tentative dates for the project implementation are August-October 2020. The project is scheduled to be completed in December 2020.
"For the development of 3D panoramic map of Batken, Talas and Naryn Oblasts, the Department of Tourism at the Kyrgyz Ministry of Culture will seek additional funding,” the JICA reported.
