Bishkek, June 1, 2021. / Kabar /. It is planned to develop ecological tourism in Kyrgyzstan, Kyial Kenzhematova, Deputy Director of the Tourism Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic told at a press conference at Kabar Agency.
She said that 2020 was not easy and very difficult year for the tourism sector.
“Currently, as part of the work to restore the tourism sector in the Kyrgyz Republic, a joint action plan has been developed and approved, one of the significant points of which will be the development of ecotourism,” she said.
In addition, Kenzhematova noted that today the department is developing a plan to restore the tourism sector after the COVID-19 pandemic for 5 years.
Ecotourism is a nature-oriented tourism, which includes environmental education and awareness programs and is carried out in accordance with the principles of environmental sustainability.
