Kyrgyzstan plans to export white honey and dried fruits to Israel

Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2020 / Kabar /. Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic Erkin Choduyev met with Israeli Ambassador Liat Vekselman, the ministry's press service reported.

The purpose of the meeting is a courtesy visit and discussion of promising cooperation between the parties, the report said.

The minister greeted and congratulated the ambassador on her appointment to the post, noted her full support and intention to intensify cooperation with Israel under the MASHAV (Israel's Agency for International Development Cooperation in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) program.

The ambassador noted that the Israeli government provided humanitarian assistance to Kyrgyzstan in the fight against COVID-19, at the same time, the ambassador conveyed a project proposal for training Kyrgyz students of an agricultural university in Israel or online under the MASHAV program, which in turn will allow Kyrgyz students to receive Israel's experience in the field of crop production, animal husbandry and drip irrigation.

During the meeting, the minister proposed to strengthen cooperation between the relevant ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Israel, and also informed about the export potential of Kyrgyz white honey and dried fruits and to consider their export from Kyrgyzstan to Israel.

Following this meeting, the sides thanked each other for the meeting and noted the importance of Kyrgyz-Israeli cooperation and expressed their readiness to promote the above issues, the report said.
