Kyrgyzstan plans to launch 100 production enterprises in 2024

Bishkek, Dec. 15, 2023. / Kabar/. In 2024, it is planned to launch 100 production enterprises in Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov told speaking at the second People's Kurultai, which is taking place in Bishkek.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted in his speech that next year special attention will be paid to the industrial sector.

“In 2024, we plan to launch 100 production plants. The Terek-Tash cement plant worth $160 million, a tile and ceramics plant, and a tobacco factory will be open in Chui region. Also, together with Uzbekistan, it is planned to launch a machine-building plant worth 50 million US dollars. In addition, the construction of a logistics town on 700 hectares of land will be launched. At the same time, 1 million soms have been allocated for the modernization of the Mailuu-Suu lamp plant,” he said.

The second People's Kurultai (Asembly) of a state scale is being held in Bishkek with the participation of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiyev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, state and municipal employees also participate in the work of the kurultai.

The people's sector consists of 700 delegates, including 640 delegates from all regions of the republic, 30 delegates from ethnic groups and 30 from migrant workers abroad.

The meeting participants will discuss the results of the first People's Kurultai and a number of current issues. As a result, a resolution of the second People's Kurultai will be adopted.
