Bishkek, Sept. 14, 2021 / Kabar /. The development of uranium and thorium deposits will be carried out in Kyrgyzstan, only by state-owned companies, Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry Tilek Aitaliev told during the press conference at Kabar Agency.
He said if the bill is approved by the parliament and signed by the president, this issue will be dealt with by separate bodies that are involved in the work.
“Two years ago, a ban on the development of such deposits was adopted by the government. If a new code is introduced, all by-laws will be brought into line. When developing such fields, there will be a separate regulation that regulates and controls the issue of safety,” he said.
