Bishkek, June 29, 2022. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan plans to modernize and reconstruct civil regional airports in the coming five years in accordance with the implementation of the National Development Program until 2026, the Ministry of Transport and Communication of the republic reported.
Manas International Airport JSC is working to reconstruct elements of Batken Airport in Batken Oblast. The issue of land allocation for the construction of a cargo terminal in the Osh International Airport is also being resolved.
"It is also planned to reconstruct elements of the airfield and construct a new building of the air terminal complex at Karakol airport. At present, Manas International Airport JSC is developing the design and estimate documentation of construction of a new building of the airport terminal of Karakol International Airport,” the report said.
Also, the adjustment of design and estimate documentation for the construction of a new building of the airport terminal in Naryn airport has been completed. Work on demolition of part of the existing building of the airport terminal and preparation of the area for the construction of a new building of the airport terminal has been carried out.
