Bishkek, July 31, 2024 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan plans to open flights to the USA, Chairman of the Management Board of Manas International Airport (MIA) OJSC Manasbek Samidinov said at a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He added that this issue was discussed with U.S. ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic.
"They supported our proposal to open direct flights from Bishkek to New York or Chicago. Since we are on the "black list" of the European Union, we invited the U.S. civil aviation and carriers to audit us in order to implement these flights in the future," Samidinov said.
He also added stressed that the audit will be conducted by the end of this year.
