Kyrgyzstan plans to plant up to 90 hectares of new forest by 2023

Bishkek, Nov. 2, 2022. /Kabar/. It is planned to plant up to 90 hectares of new forest in Kyrgyzstan by 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

According to the ministry, in order to preserve and protect the forests of Kyrgyzstan, seedlings were planted on an area of ​​25 hectares this year: 500 pieces of birch and 500 pieces of coniferous trees.

Also, in order to increase juniper plantations, 50 kg of juniper seeds were collected on the territory of the Nookat forestry enterprise, and work began on sowing these seeds on the territory of Gezart of the Abshyr-Ata forestry enterprise.

In addition, a special pit for the production of biohumus, 10 meters long and 2.5 meters wide, is being prepared on the territory of the Nookat forestry enterprise.

Representatives of the local district state administration, institutions and enterprises, local residents and youth take part in the events.
