Bishkek, April 6, 2021. / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan has prepared a reserve of medical personnel for a possible re-emergence of COVID-19, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development of the republic Uluk-Bek Bekturganov said during a briefing on Tuesday.
He added that due to increase in number of COVID-19 cases, 927 doctors, 194 nurses, 137 trainee doctors, 97 technical medical workers are included in the reserve of the Health Ministry.
"Also, in order to provide timely medical care to patients with coronavirus infection, starting April 6, 2021, additional beds will be deployed to receive patients with COVID-19: 110 beds in the National Hospital, of which 10 beds are intensive care wards, and 55 beds in Chui Oblast Joint Hospital, of which 5 - also intensive care wards," the deputy minister concluded.
