Kyrgyzstan preparing for second wave of coronavirus

Bishkek, Aug. 10, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is preparing for a second possible wave of COVID-19 coronavirus infection.

President Sooronbay Jeenbekov noted that every effort is being made to be fully prepared for it.

Thus, additional hospital beds are being created in the regions. At present, construction works are underway at 12 sites. Major repairs are carried out at 9 sites.

90 and 70-bed local hospitals are being built in Batken and Naryn Oblasts. In Bishkek city and Dzhalal-Abad Oblast, construction of 2 hospitals with 100 beds each has started.

As a result, more than 1000 beds will be prepared across the country. These works are being carried out under the personal control of the president and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
