Bishkek, April 25, 2022. / Kabar /. The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Italy took part in the opening of the National Pavilion of Kyrgyzstan, for the first time presented at the 59th International Venice Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia - 2022, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The Venice exhibition was founded in 1895 and is one of the most prestigious cultural venues for researching and promoting new trends in contemporary art, architecture, film, dance, music and theater.
The opening ceremony began with a congratulatory speech by Kyrgyz Ambassador Taalai Bazarbaev, who expressed gratitude for the work on the production of all elements of the presented installation to the excellent culture designer and artist Nurzat Zheenbek kyzy, craftswomen, masters of yurts, the One Village-One Product (OVOP) association, as well as the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan for assistance in organizing the event and provided the Kyrgyz national clothing.
During the opening of the national pavilion, an installation made by Kyrgyz artisans, consisting of a tunduk as the central element, as well as such elements of the interior decoration of the yurt as shyrdak and kiyiz in the form of a pano, was presented.
The cultural program of the event continued with a story of the Manas epic by compatriots living in Italy, as well as a story about the traditional life and crafts of the Kyrgyz people by a compatriot from Great Britain.
At the end, all guests were invited to taste the prepared dishes of the Kyrgyz national cuisine.
The national pavilion of Kyrgyzstan is open to all guests of the Venice exhibition in the Giudecca Art District art gallery from April 23 to Nov. 28, 2022.
In June this year, the Kyrgyz pavilion is expected to present the first national NFT-collection called "EYE OF THE TUNDUK", which consists of seven images symbolizing seven regions of Kyrgyzstan.
