Kyrgyzstan produced 13 thsd tons of wool since beginning of 2021

Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2021. / Kabar /. As of August 1, 2021, economic entities of all categories of Kyrgyzstan produced 13 thousand 91 tons of all types of wool in the republic, the country’s Ministry of Agriculture reported.

According to data of the ministry, this figure is 99.9% compared to the corresponding period last year.

It should be noted that wool production in the republic compared to the corresponding period of last year decreased in Batken (98.3%), Osh (98.5%) and Chui regions (98.8%), respectively.

According to the information of the regional departments of agricultural development, the start of the sheep shearing campaign due to weather conditions was a bit late and by the end of 9 months the volume of wool production in these regions will be increased and not be lower than last year's indicators.
