Kyrgyzstan proposes that India and CA countries explore possibility of joint production of vaccines

Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2022 . / Kabar / . "Participating countries of the dialogue platform have an opportunity to jointly promote the idea of equitable access to medicines and know-how," said Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov addressing the first India-Central Asia Online Summit.

In order to overcome the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, and taking into account India's great scientific and pharmaceutical potential, the Kyrgyz leader suggested considering joint production of affordable and effective vaccines and other medicines in Central Asian countries.

"Over the past three years, Kyrgyzstan has been working to protect the health and lives of its citizens from coronavirus infection, engaging in international cooperation, and providing mutual assistance to contain and control the pandemic," Zhaparov noted.
