Bishkek, Jan.24, 2020. /Kabar/. Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Kashkar Dzhunushaliyev is in the State of Qatar for working trip.
During the working trip, meetings were held to discuss topical cooperation issues and interaction in law enforcement, the press service of the Kyrgyz Internal Affairs said.
Kashkar Dzhunushaliyev and Qatari Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani met in Doha to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional security issues.
"During the meeting, the sides exchanged views, stressed the importance of establishment of contacts in the law enforcement activity, highly appreciated the current level of bilateral cooperation between the law enforcement agencies and expressed mutual desire for its further development.
Issues of cooperation in counteraction to terrorism, cyber threats, organized crime, crimes in the sphere of information technologies, as well as issues of counteraction to illegal circulation of drugs, money laundering were discussed,” the report says.
During the trip, the Kyrgyz interior minister also visited a number of units of the Qatari Interior Ministry, where he familiarized with methods of law enforcement, fighting crime, as well as technical equipment.
During the bilateral meeting and talks, the Kyrgyz and Qatari sides expressed willingness to work out an action plan for the implementation of the examined issues and reached agreements.
They noted the progressive and dynamic development of the cooperation of the law enforcement bodies, which will be an important factor in ensuring stability, security, increasing all-round interaction.
