Bishkek, April 14, 2022 . / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan raised the issue of liberalization of visa requirements from the U.S. for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Foreign Ministry of the republic said.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev met on Thursday with U.S. Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy and Human Rights Uzra Zeya.
In the context of strengthening political dialogue between the countries, plans to conclude a basic agreement on cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States of America were considered.
The U.S. side reaffirmed its commitment to assist in strengthening democratic institutions in Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, representatives of the Kyrgyz MFA raised the issue of liberalization of visa requirements on the part of the U.S. for citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
"The side agreed to maintain constant contact to advance the issues discussed," report said.
