Bishkek, Aug. 29, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan took the 64th place in the ranking of the World Happiness Report.

The top three happiest countries are Finland, Denmark and Iceland.

Kazakhstan is ahead of Kyrgyzstan out of the countries of Central Asia – the 40th place.

The study is being conducted by The Earth Institute, a research center operating at Columbia University under the auspices of the UN, in order to show the achievements of the countries of the world in terms of their ability to provide their inhabitants with a happy life.

The ranking takes into account such indicators of well-being as the level of GDP per capita, life expectancy, civil liberties, a sense of security and confidence in the future, family stability, job security, the level of corruption, as well as indirect indicators of the state of society, such as the level of trust and generosity.

In addition to these statistical data and indirect indicators, a significant part of the study consists of the results of public opinion polls of residents of different countries on how happy they feel, which are conducted by the Gallup International Research Center, asking respondents in each country to rate their feeling of happiness on a special scale.
