Kyrgyzstan ranks 89th among safest countries in the world

Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2019. /Kabar/. In the ranking of the safest countries in the world, compiled by the Global Finance magazine, Kyrgyzstan is ranked 89th.

The main criteria for the rating were such criteria as the likelihood of a military conflict, the level of threat to the safety of citizens, the level of economic development, and the likelihood of a natural disaster.

Iceland has become the safest country in the magazine's ranking, which is followed by Switzerland. The third place is held by Finland.

The top ten leaders also include Portugal, Austria, Norway, Qatar, Singapore, Denmark and New Zealand.

The United States settled in 65th place because of the high level of crime, as well as a high probability of a natural disaster. The countries that have been recognized as the most unsafe are Guatemala, Yemen and the Philippines.

Russia ranked 108th. Neighboring Kazakhstan is on the 44th place, Tajikistan – on the 68th place. The rest of the neighboring countries are not listed in the magazine's rating.
