Kyrgyzstan ranks first in the Central Asian region in terms of the level (quantity) of mobile communication use, Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, told at the republican forum "The Role of the Jogorku Kenesh in the Development of Digitalization of the Kyrgyz Republic".
According to his data, there are 10.5 million SIM cards for 7 million people in Kyrgyzstan.
This forum was organized by the Committee on Transport, Communications, Architecture and Construction of the Jogorku Kenesh on the initiative of Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiev with the participation of deputies, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, representatives of local governments, international and non-governmental organizations, scientific and civil society, the media and independent experts .
