Kyrgyzstan ranks third at ITF Taekwon-do World Cup Uzbekistan 2024

Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2024 . / Kabar / . The ITF Taekwon-do World Cup was held in Tashkent on Nov.2-8. The competition was attended by 1200 athletes from 34 countries from 6 years old to 35+.

President of the National ITF Taekwondo Federation of Kyrgyzstan Kutmanbel Mukashev said that the country was represented by 131 athletes.

The national team won an honorable 3rd place in the team standings, behind the numerous and strong teams of Uzbekistan and Russia.

Kyrgyzstan has 25 gold, 39 silver and 59 bronze medals.

The next important stage is the World Championships in Italy in 2025. The national federation will select athletes to participate in this world tournament.

"We will try to ensure a fair and objective selection to bring together the strongest taekwondists from across the country. Our national team is expected to go to this tournament with more than 50 athletes," Kutmanbek Mukashev noted.
