Kyrgyzstan ratifies agreement on air traffic with Qatar

Bishkek, Jan. 17, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the State of Qatar on Air Traffic, signed on January 21, 2018 in the city of Doha.

The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on November 22, 2018.

The purpose of the adopted law is to create conditions for the dynamic development of bilateral political, economic and cultural cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the State of Qatar, as well as the possibility of providing direct flights between the two countries for closer interaction.

This agreement was signed on the basis of a decision to expand the geography of flights and air traffic between the Kyrgyz Republic and the countries of the Middle East in order to increase interest.

The law enters into force ten days after the date of official publication.
