Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2018 / Kabar /. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the law On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Estonia on avoiding double taxation and preventing avoidance from payment of income taxes. The document was signed on Apr. 10, 2017 in Tallinn and approved by Kyrgyz Parliament on Dec. 21, 2017.
The agreement determines the rules for differentiating the rights of each of the contracting states on the taxation of subjects of one state that has an object of taxation in another state. Thus, the methods of implementing these provisions establish internal rules of tax law.
In addition, the agreement is the protection of a resident of one state from discriminatory taxation in the other contracting state, prevents tax avoidance or abuse of agreement provisions through the exchange of information between the competent authorities of the contracting states.
The law enters into force in ten days after the day of its official publication.
